Sharon Collver, SNJM

Sister Sharon (Mary Raphealann) taught first grade in Salem, Medford, Astoria, and Portland, OR, and was one of the first Holy Names Sisters to serve as a religious education coordinator for students not attending Catholic schools. Later she served on the Oregon Provincial Council, led workshops in PRH (Personality and Human Relationships), and worked at St. Rita’s parish, Portland as director of religious education. After a yearlong program in CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education), she served as Catholic chaplain at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem. After retirement, she ministered at The Madeleine Parish, Portland, and conducted weekly Bible study classes.
