Nadine Grogan, SNJM
Sister Nadine (M. Joanne Therese), of Portland, OR, lived an adventurous childhood. She resided in several states and attended various schools, including three years at Christie School, Marylhurst. After graduating from St. Mary’s Academy, Portland, she joined the Sisters and went on to teach primary grades in Medford, Astoria, Lake Oswego and Portland. After receiving an M.A. in theology, she worked as a pastoral associate and religious educator in Alaska and Oregon. She completed a CPE program and served as a Catholic chaplain at Oregon State Hospital, Salem and Portland campuses, and as a volunteer at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and at Mary’s Woods.
