Mary Anne Jungblut, SNJM

Sister Mary Anne (Geraldine Mary) had a second career as a classroom teacher. Her teaching assignments included Holy Redeemer, Cathedral and Holy Cross elementary schools in Portland, OR. She was also a teacher and director of the Volunteers of America Preschool. Those years were preceded by long service as a care provider in the Sisters’ infirmary at Convent of the Holy Names at Marylhurst. While teaching, she found time to volunteer at Operation Nightwatch and Transitions Project on Burnside, providing services for the homeless. As a retiree she continues to volunteer, using her talents as teacher, nurse and first-class cook to help others..
