Mary Ann Farley, SNJM

Originally from Spokane, WA, Sister Mary Ann (M. Angela Therese) worked in the Marylhurst infirmary, taught first grade in Seattle and Richland, WA, and was an elementary school principal in Spokane. After a year of CPE, she became Director of Pastoral Care and Ethics, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Lewiston, ID. For 18 years it was her privilege and joy to be community director at the Convent in Spokane and to journey with the Sisters in the transition from the Convent to an assisted living facility. Now in Portland, OR, she volunteers at the Maybelle Center for Community, an organization that reduces loneliness and isolation in downtown Portland. She participates in training spiritual directors through Urban Spirituality and offers retreats and spiritual direction.
