Thank You “Berry” Much for Your Support
In 1868, six young Sisters of the Holy Names traveled from Canada to California. After a 25-day journey via ships and train, they arrived in San Francisco on May 10th. The weary travelers were welcomed by the Sisters of Mercy with strawberries and cream, which became an annual tradition known as Strawberry Day.
Each year, we host the Strawberry Drawing to help raise the funds necessary to meet the life needs of our retired Sisters and assist them in continuing their ministries.
This year’s drawing will be on May 9, 2025. Tickets received by May 8 will be entered into the drawing.
