Sister Lorna Mae McCormick, SNJM departed this life on September 28, 2024 in Spokane, Washington.
Sister Lorna celebrated 92 years of life and 69 years of her religious profession.
A Mass of Resurrection was held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Spokane, Washington.
Burial took place the same day at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Washington.

Sister of the Holy Names Lorna Mae McCormick (Sister Michael Anthony) died on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Hospice House of Spokane, Spokane, Washington. A native of Spokane, Lorna Mae was born on November 20, 1931 to Loren W. McCormick and Mary A. (McQuade) McCormick. A much loved educator, her career spanned 64 years in parish elementary schools in the western Washington. Sister Lorna returned to Spokane eight years ago and became an active resident at South Hill Village. Sister Lorna is preceded in death by her parents and her three younger brothers: Patrick, Michael, and Timothy. She is survived her nephews John McCormick and Kelly McCormick and their families, and by the family of Peg La Rue. She is survived by her religious community the Sisters and Associates of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, former students and colleagues, and many long-time friends.
Sister Lorna’s funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2024, 11:00AM, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 3327 S. Perry, Spokane, WA 99203. Burial, the same day, at 3:00PM, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N Wall Street, Spokane, WA 99208.
