Painting Pride at Marie Rose House in Wapato

While Marina Rose Parisi, SNJM was celebrating her 60th Jubilee with a Mass in Toppenish, volunteers from Western Washington, Wapato and Yakima converged at Marie Rose House to do a graffiti transformation project on a house across the street. The centerpiece, Mother Mary and the wolf, represents two symbols deep in the psyche of Wapatoans. (The town is about 70% Latino, mainly of Mexican descent, and the high school mascot is the wolf.)
