Holy Names University celebrates Founders' Day
Holy Names University celebrated Founders' Day on April 24 with a reenactment of the arrival of the first Sisters of the Holy Names from Canada. Those who attended were served strawberry shortcake in memory of the strawberries that the Sisters of Mercy served to the six weary Sisters of the Holy Names, who disembarked in San Francisco on May 10, 1868. During the celebration, faculty and staff, who celebrate anniversaries of employment this year, were acknowledged. Carol Sellman, SNJM was recognized for 30 years of service.
